Lighthouse, Poole's Centre for the Arts, presents another GIANT of a pantomime when Debra Stephenson stars in Jack and the Beanstalk, which opens on Friday 6 December and runs until Sunday 5 January.

The fantastic family Christmas caper will see Jack full of beans and up to his old tricks again. As ever, the Trott family is penniless and in dire straits. When Jack goes to sell his beloved cow, all he can get is a measly bag of beans, so our hapless hero is soon in the doghouse.

But these are no ordinary beans! When a giant beanstalk appears in the garden, Jack's extraordinary adventures are just about to begin as he must climb the beanstalk, defeat the giant and retrieve the treasure.

From the team behind previous Lighthouse hits Aladdin, Cinderella and Peter Pan, the fe-fi-fo-fun is guaranteed!

Donning Jack's tights is the Poole-based star of The Impressions Show and Coronation Street, Debra Stephenson who's thrilled to be home for Christmas.

"We come to Lighthouse a lot to see different things and it's lovely to be home for Christmas - I love having the kids come to see the show," she says.

Also starring in Jack and the Beanstalk are Patrick O'Kane (The Borgias, Game of Thrones) as Fleshcreep and Neil Smye as The King, with experienced panto Dame Tom Bright as Dame Trott.
