Richard O'Brien's outrageous classic The Rocky Horror Show finished an extensive national tour in Aylesbury with the Olivier Award winner David Bedella starring as the celebrated Frank 'n' Furter. Opening in Wimbledon on 17 September 2009, this irresistible riot has successfully thrusted its way through the UK, travelling roughly 12,097.8 miles and playing 389 performances!

Seducing audiences all over the world for more than thirty years, over 305,000 die-hard fans and Rocky Virgins across the UK turned out to celebrate this infamous adventure like never before. Continuing this worldwide phenomenon, the Royal Mail has now announced that The Rocky Horror Show will feature in their forth coming Musicals Stamp issue. The 97p stamp will be airmail worldwide and available to purchase from 24 February 2011.

Along with the infamous TV show Glee who recently performed the 'Time Warp' for their Halloween special, 1,635 fans proudly pelvic-thrusted their way into the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest ever Time Warp Dance in Brighton on 31 October 2009. The Rocky Horror Show continues to entertain audiences across the globe with a production now in New Zealand and soon to be Singapore!

Since the beginning of the tour, over 140 eyeliners have been used, 119 pairs of fishnets have been worn and over 770 latex gloves have been worn by Magenta. See editor's notes for more fun facts.

· Richard O'Brien is the writer of the The Rocky Horror Show which premiered at The Royal Court Theatre on 19 June 1973. He starred in the 1975 film adaptation as Riff Raff and is also widely recognised as the presenter of the popular TV show 'The Crystal Maze'. Since premiering, the stage show has been in almost continuous production, and the cinematic version is one of the best known and most ardently followed films of all time.
