On 8th August 2012, Live at the Hippodrome is proud to present an evening with five-time Grammy Award-winning singing legend Dionne Warwick.  During her 50 years in the music industry, the international icon has achieved more than 60 charted hit songs and sold over 100 million records.  Known for hits such as Do You Know The Way To San Jose?, Say A Little Prayer and I'll Never Fall in Love Again, Warwick will perform accompanied by a five-piece band at The Matcham Room, permanent home to Live at the Hippodrome.  Tickets are on sale starting today, Wednesday 25th July.

This is the first in a series of one-night performances at the new live entertainment venue in August; following Dionne Warwick will be an evening with composers Scott Evan Davis, Georgia Stitt and Michael Patrick Walker on 19th August and on 26th August Laugh and Be Happy, Peter Polycarpou's retrospective of the songs of Randy Newman.

The next season of week-long residencies at Live At The Hippodrome from an international slate of performers begins with Maria Friedman 3rd – 7th September and will also feature Adam Guettel; Ruthie Henshall; Barb Jungr; Gwyneth Herbert; FINGERSNAP – David McAlmont & Guy Davies; Kerry Ellis; Stefanie Powers; Suzi Quatro; Hot Club of Cowtown; Lea DeLaria; and Cerys Matthews. Booking is open for these performances taking place September – November 2012.

Produced by independent theatre producer Nick Frankfort, Creative Director on behalf of the Hippodrome Casino, with Associate Programmer Neil Marcus, Live At The Hippodrome's programming seeks to revisit the illustrious entertainment history of the building (previously home to Talk of the Town) whilst also introducing to central London a sophisticated new 182 seat venue which will evoke the intimate live performance spaces of New York.

Live At The Hippodrome opened on Monday 9th July 2012, with a week-long residency by singer Tony Christie and in its inaugural season also hosted evenings from Kate Dimbleby with Naadia Sheriff, Julian Ovenden and Miss Polly Rae.

Named after the theatre's original architect, Frank Matcham, The Matcham Room – permanent home to Live At The Hippodrome - serves food and drink at booths, tables and balcony seats within the performance space. The menu is designed and served by the neighbouring Heliot Restaurant, Bar and Lounge.

In 2013 Live At The Hippodrome will welcome Alexander Armstrong, David Arnold, Jason Robert Brown, composers Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, Maureen Lipman, John Partridge and Tyne Daly, among many more.
