THE ARCHBISHOP of Canterbury took centre stage at The Marlowe Theatre when he came to see Jack And The Beanstalk.

Justin Welby and his family watched the pantomime before meeting the company. Show producer Paul Hendy (pictured right) said: "He's a charming, really down-to-earth man. They all enjoyed the performance and the chance to say hallo and have a chat with everyone afterwards."

Jack And The Beanstalk runs until Sunday 12 January.
