È stato rivelato il cast completo per il National Tour 2026–27 di Oh, Mary!, che inizierà le sue performance il 19 settembre 2026 a Hartford, Connecticut. A fianco delle stelle precedentemente annunciate Alaska Thunderf*ck nel ruolo di “Mary Todd Lincoln” e del vincitore del Tony Award J. Harrison Ghee nel ruolo di “Mary’s Husband” si uniscono Wesley Taylor come “Mary’s Teacher”, Pooya Mohseni come “Mary’s Chaperone” e Michael Lepore come “Mary’s Husband’s Assistant”. La produzione è diretta dal vincitore del Tony Award Sam Pinkleton e prodotta da Kevin McCollum & Lucas McMahon e Mike Lavoie & Carlee Briglia.
A partire dal 19 gennaio 2027 a Chicago, Ghee assumerà il ruolo di “Mary Todd Lincoln” e John-Andrew Morrison riprenderà il suo ruolo di Broadway come “Mary’s Husband” per il resto del tour annunciato. La compagnia include inoltre Natalie Joy Johnson come understudy per i ruoli di “Mary Todd Lincoln” e “Mary’s Chaperone”, Mike Cefalo come understudy per “Mary’s Husband’s Assistant” e “Mary’s Teacher”, e Julius Thomas III come understudy per “Mary’s Husband” e “Mary’s Teacher”.
Scritto dal vincitore del Tony Award e Olivier Award Cole Escola e diretto dal vincitore del Tony Award Sam Pinkleton, Oh, Mary! ha debuttato a Broadway l'11 luglio 2024 e continua ad andare in scena al Lyceum Theatre, dove è diventato il primo spettacolo nella storia del teatro di 121 anni a incassare più di 1.000.000 di dollari in una sola settimana. Oh, Mary! ha poi battuto il proprio record di incassi quattordici volte ed è diventato il primo spettacolo della stagione Broadway 2024-25 a recuperare il proprio investimento. Oh, Mary! ha debuttato con recensioni entusiastiche nel West End di Londra il 18 dicembre 2025, vincendo l'Olivier Award 2026 per il Miglior Nuovo Spettacolo di Intrattenimento o Commedia.
Oh, Mary! è una dark comedy che racconta la storia di una Mary Todd Lincoln infelice e soffocata nelle settimane precedenti all'assassinio di Abraham Lincoln. Innamoramenti non corrisposti, alcolismo e desideri repressi abbondano in questo atto unico che finalmente esamina la vita dimenticata e i sogni della signora Lincoln attraverso la prospettiva di un idiota (il drammaturgo Cole Escola).
