Toronto Film School’s upcoming stage production of Marat’s Last Night will see its cast of acting students transported to Charenton Sanitorium in 1908 France Adapted and directed by Jonathan Whittaker, the 75-minute play depicts the patients at Charenton performing a play written by patient The Marquis de Sade, portraying the last night of Jean Paul Marat and Marat’s role in the French Revolution. Marat’s Last Night, which is assistant directed and stage managed by Jainee Fernandez, will take to the stage at the Papermill Theatre for a three-performance run on September 18, 19 and 21 as follows: – Wednesday, September 18 at 7 p.m. – Friday, September 19 at 9 p.m. – Saturday, September 21 at 1 p.m. The Papermill Theatre is located at Todmorden Mills, 67 Pottery Rd. Tickets are free and available at the door.
