Citadel + Compagnie launches its 2017/18 Bright Nights season with the world premiere of Michael Caldwell’s?Factory, September 20-23, 2017 at The Citadel: Ross Centre for Dance. The anticipated first full-length work from Caldwell, the Toronto-based choreographer and two-time Dora Award-winner, will transport audiences to a post-traumatic world in which we have lost all known ability to communicate. Created in collaboration with Gemini award-winning composer Phil Strong, Factory will construct a dizzying sonic universe exposing society’s compulsion for power and corruption. Through visceral, impulse-driven movement, five dancers will offer a mesmerizing dioramic view of the chaos and deception within the here and now as a moment in time. This performance is produced by MLC Dance and pounds per square inch performance (lbs/sq”).
