WICKED to Launch Canadian National Tour this Summer

After breaking box office records and selling out in record time in 2011, WICKED, Broadway's biggest blockbuster, will return to Canada for a nationwide tour.

A five-city tour will bring the award-winning musical from coast to coast, with engagements in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg over the course of 2014.

Based on the best-selling 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire, WICKED, winner of over 50 major awards, including a Grammy® and three Tony® Awards, is the untold story of the witches of Oz. It is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.

The 2014 Canadian National Tour will feature performances at Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre (May 28-June 29), Edmonton's Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium (July 2-20), Calgary's Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium (July 23-August 17) and Winnipeg's Centennial Concert Hall (August 20-31). WICKED tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, and how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
