By:

Henrik Ibsen's Hedda Gabler and Carole Fréchette's Helen's Necklace make their official debuts tomorrow, August 10, and Saturday night, August 11, respectively, at the Shaw Festival.

Opening Friday evening at the Court House Theatre is Hedda Gabler, the powerful and dramatic Ibsen piece presented in a new version by writer/director Richard Eyre. The following evening, Helen's Necklace, the first Canadian play to be produced as part of The Shaw's contemporary Shavian series, takes the stage at the Studio Theatre.

Shaw Festival supporters will be in attendance to celebrate the work of the The Shaw's creative team and the openings of both productions.
