PUNCH Musical to Make World Premiere at The Factory Theatre With Chilina Kennedy and Belinda Corpuz
The concert production will run June 12-21, 2026.
From Andrew Seok (Rosamund, Almost Ever After, The Man With The Golden Heart) will come the story of a monkey that captured hearts across the world. Eclipse Theatre Company and Chaos & Light will present PUNCH - A New Musical - Presented In Concert. Performances will run June 12-21, 2026 at Factory Theatre - 125 Bathurst St.
PUNCH - A New Musical is written and directed by Andrew Seok, who after the sold out successes of his Toronto Fringe shows ‘Almost Ever After’, ‘Rosamund’, ‘The Man With The Golden Heart’, ‘ECHOES’ and ‘Unravelled’ was unexpectedly inspired to write a heartwarming new musical about this adorable monkey who went viral for being bullied and carrying an IKEA plush orangutan everywhere he went.
Abandoned at birth and raised by humans, Punch grows up between two worlds, never fully fitting into either. When, at the tender age of 6 months, he is released into a troop of 60 monkeys, he faces a world as unfamiliar as it is unforgiving.
Through loneliness, hope, rejection, and love, Punch searches for where he belongs, and the courage to believe he is worthy of it.
The cast includes Chilina Kennedy (Broadway: Beautiful, Great Gatsby), Belinda Corpuz (Narnia, Mary, Mary, Mary, Mary), Haneul Yi (Alice in Wonderland, Once), Andrew Seok (Rosamund, Almost Ever After)), Cyrena Fiel (Topline CBC), Alex Wierzbicki (Stratford, Come From Away - Grand), and introducing Lara Roda as Punch.
