Last year's first ever Toronto Theatre Awards were a huge success, with fans eager to have their same in determining what would be crowned as BWW's Best of 2010! Thanks to the tremendous success of last year's awards we are thrilled to bring them back again for 2011, with a more robust voting system and easier to use platform. You can even include your email address in order to be notified as soon as voting begins.

The best part of the BWW Toronto Theatre Awards is that the nominees are determined by you, the fans. Therefore it's imperative that everyone fill out the nomination form to ensure that none of your favourites get left behind. And this year, we have added a new category and very worthwhile category, Understudy of the Year! So for all of you who go to the same shows over and over again in the hopes of seeing a certain person go in the lead role, make sure you nominate them so they get recognized too!

All productions which opened between September 2010 and October 2011 are eligible for consideration, and this includes productions in both the Stratford and Shaw Festivals. You have until October 31st, 2011 to submit your nominations and voting will begin shortly thereafter.

It has been a remarkable year for theatre in Toronto, and we have been blessed with many incredible productions. Plus, what better way to celebrate the start of the holiday season than by recognizing your favourite theatre works of the past 12 months?
