David W. Keeley to Star in KILLER BUSINESS-THE MUSICAL at Next Stage Theatre Festival, Jan 8-19

Torrent Productions has announced that KILLER BUSINESS-THE MUSICAL will premiere at the Next Stage Theatre Festival, opening Wednesday, January 8th, 7pm at the Factory Theatre, Mainspace-The Next Stage Theatre Festival runs January 8-19, 2014.

It is the first preview of "Lucky In Love". The Producer is hoping for a long run. The show starts with the same old song and dance until a body turns up on the stage. Now, it's up to Richard Gunn, PI to solve the case. There's a spoiled Diva, an aging star and a confused leading man. The backstage crew is overworked and the chorus is wooden. Everyone is a suspect. It is, after all, a Killer Business.

Husband and wife team Robert Torr and Stephanie Graham of Torrent Productions produce again after their successful 2009 Fringe show, Hipcheck-the Musical (Patron's Pick and Best of Fringe). They have assembed a creative team including director, Geoffrey Whynot and musical director, Robert Graham to bring this world premiere to the stage.

Killer Business-The Musical's cast consists of musical theatre veterans and newcomers including Dora award-winner, David Keeley as Richard Gunn, PI (Rock of Ages, Billy Elliot, Urinetown, Mamma Mia), Christy Adamson (Cats, War Horse), TESS BENGER (Charlottetown Festival), MATTHEW G BROWN (Jersey Boys), JASON ADAM CLARKE (Drayton), CAITLIN GOGUEN (Drayton), CHRISTINA GORDON (Stratford Festival), Duff MacDonald (Les Miserables, Drayton), NATALIE MOORE, and RYAN ROGERSON (Neptune Theatre).
