Touring internationally, critically acclaimed Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada tackles a tough subject in its Toronto debut. GHOSTS OF VIOLENCE is a contemporary full-length production following four young couples caught in a web of romance, fear and aggression. A recent sell-out in Vancouver, the ballet is on a cross-country tour, and is "…gorgeously choreographed and evocatively staged." Vancouver Sun

GHOSTS OF VIOLENCE is the anchor for "Celebrate Courage", the second phase of Atlantic Ballet Theatre's awareness for change initiative, created to inspire dialogue around the issue of domestic homicide.

Now in its 11th season, Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada has earned an international reputation for high production values, technical excellence and compelling dance. Under the guidance and choreographic vision of Artistic Director and Choreographer Igor Dobrovolskiy, the Company presents original full-length ballets which tour nationally and internationally. Igor Dobrovolskiy's works weave dramatic narrative with inventive choreography to create a powerful, emotional and lyrical form which explores the human condition.

GHOSTS OF VIOLENCE plays for one-night-only May 26 at the Bulma Appel Theatre, St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts. Curtain is 8pm.
