Crested Butte Music Festival Announces 2017 Summer Season

The Crested Butte Music Festival (CBMF) has announced its 2017 summer season, the first programmed under the new co-Artistic Directors, Dr. Emily Ondracek-Peterson and Dr. Erik Christian Peterson. The seven-week season will take place June 23-August 5, 2017 in the Mt. Crested Butte Mirror Palace, and includes outstanding performances in classical music, bluegrass, opera, Gypsy Jazz and more. Central City Opera Announces 2017 Summer Festival, 7/8-8/6

Central City Opera's 2017 Summer Festival, which runs from July 8 through August 6, features Bizet's Carmen and Mozart's Così fan tutte performed in repertory in the historic Central City Opera House, and three one-act operas with limited runs—Britten's The Burning Fiery Furnace, Douglas Moore's Gallantry, and Amy Beach's Cabildo—performed in smaller venues located around the town of Central City. Complementing these five widely different operas are pre-performance lectures and talkbacks, staged opera scenes, elegant opening night dinners, and post-performance socials, which make for a full and enriching experience of entertainment and culture in one of Colorado's most historic mountain settings.   (more...)
Opera Theatre of the Rockies Presents THE MIKADO, 5/13-14

Opera Theatre of the Rockies is excited to announce their entry into the “topsy turvy” world of Gilbert & Sullivan with performances of The Mikado. Performances will be at the Kathryn Mohrman Theatre, Armstrong Hall at Colorado College on May 13 at 7:30 PM and May 14 at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $25 to $40 for adults, and student tickets are $10.
