Sources connected to Broadway are reporting that SIX FEET UNDER star Lauren Ambrose has been tapped as Eliza Doolittle in the upcoming revival of MY FAIR LADY.

If there was ever a local production of MY FAIR LADY that was sure to offer a treat to the Nashville theater scene, the current installment of the play at the Larry Keeton Theatre would be the one.

My Fair Lady officially opened at the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House, on 6 September, 2016, and is running for a strictly limited season. This new production, which recreates the original 1956 Broadway one, is directed by the actress who created the role of Eliza Doolittle in the original production, the world-renowned actor and director Dame Julie Andrews. Sher's recent credits include South Pacific, Golden Boy, and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.

It was announced earlier this week that, Davis is eying LES MISERABLES star Anne Hathaway and Colin Firth to play Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins respectively. Now according to the Daily Mail, Hathaway has responded positively to the news. She told DM: 'I haven't heard for a while what's happening with My Fair Lady and I don't know whether I would do it on stage, or screen, but either would be a treat.'

Now according to USA Today, Davis is eying LES MISERABLES star Anne Hathaway and Colin Firth to play Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins respectively. Firth has also starred in a big screen musical in the past, taking on Harry in 2008's MAMMA MIA. Neither actor, however, has yet starred in a Broadway production.
