Carnival Films, producers of Downton Abbey, together with Warner Bros. Records today confirm the release of Christmas at Downton Abbey, an official collection of festive hymns and classic carols evoking a simpler time, from the much loved, award-winning television series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, hit BBC drama DOWNTON ABBEY will be releasing a 45-song Christmas album on November 10th. In addition to traditional carols and religious hymns, the show's iconic theme song will also get a yule-time makeover.

Series star Laura Carmichael revealed that the actor's appearance involves an attempt to give a smooch to Maggie Smith's formidible character Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess.

A portion of the fifth season of Downton Abbey will be filmed at Alnwick Castle, best known as the stand-in for the Hogwarts School in the first two 'Harry Potter' films.

The fifth season of Masterpiece's historic drama DOWNTON ABBEY, will premiere on PBS on January 4.

DOWTON ABBEY executive producer Gareth Neame revealed details of the highly anticipated fifth season of the historic drama series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Downton Abbey won a BAFTA Craft Award for best costume design. The show won the golden mask after having been nominated in the costume category for Caroline McCall.

As the fourth season finale begins, we are informed that 8 months have passed. Edith has spent the time away in Geneva, and according to Ivy, appears to be very tired; we know she must have had her baby while away on this trip, and chose to return to Downton without the child.

As the episode begins, Mary, Tom, and Edith go to check on the stock of pigs kept on the estate. Mr Drewe, longtime Downton tenant who “borrowed” money from Robert in order to pay back his rent to the family, is seen taking care of the pigs.

As the episode begins, Robert receives word that he must travel to America to see Cora's brother, Uncle Harold, who has made a bad oil investment and will need Robert's assistance at his Senate hearing.

As the episode begins, we see the servants sitting down to breakfast. Daisy serves Alfred first, causing Carson to question her as to why she did not serve him first. Daisy apologizes, but she clearly is too grateful that Alfred is staying at Downton after all to worry about Carson's dismay.
