2025 AWARDS SEASON

In honor and anticipation of the Tony Awards ceremony this evening, June 9, CUNY TV will celebrate the Broadway theatre with an eight-hour marathon of 'Theater Talk,' 'ATW's Working in the Theatre,' and 'TimesTalks' programs from noon till 8 p.m. that day. Then the Tony Awards ceremony begins live on the CBS Television Network.

Tonight, June 9, Joe Allen Restaurant will be hosting an exclusive Tony Award viewing party for a limited number of guests. Several TVs will be displayed throughout the dining room for guests to enjoy the broadcast from any table. A Prix Fixe Menu, created by Executive Chef, Victor Flores, will be available for dinner for $65. The viewing party begins at 7:00 PM and reservations are required to attend.

The 17th Annual Tony Awards Party, an Actors Fund special event honoring Tony's legendary ladies, will feature host and nine-time Tony winner Tommy Tune tonight, June 9th at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Los Angeles.

54 BELOW, Broadway's nightclub, will once again host 'Celebrate the Tonys,' a Tony Awards viewing party for the theatre community and fans tonight, June 9 beginning at 7PM.

Stephen Oremus has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Orchestration for KINKY BOOTS.

Jerry Mitchell has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Choreography for KINKY BOOTS.

Dennis Kelly has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical for MATILDA.

Judith Light has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role for her portrayal of 'Faye' in THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES.

Gabriel Ebert has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for his portrayal of Mr. Wormwood in MATILDA THE MUSICAL.

Leon Rothenberg has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Sound Design of a Play for THE NANCE.

Diane Paulus has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for PIPPIN. Paulus serves as the Artistic Director of the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University.

Pam MacKinnon has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play for WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?

Ann Roth has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Play for THE NANCE.

Courtney B. Vance has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play for his portrayal of Hap Hairston in LUCKY GUY.

William Ivey Long has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Musical for RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN's CINDERELLA.

Andrea Martin has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Performance by an actress in a featured role in a musical for PIPPIN. Martin stops the show every night at the Music Box Theater with her portrayal of Pippin's grandmother Berthe.

Tracy Letts has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Lead Role in a play for his portrayal of George in WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?

PIPPIN has won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. The production has received 4 Drama Desk Awards including Outstanding Revival of a Musical, Outstanding Director of a Musical (Diane Paulus),Outstanding Choreography (Chet Walker & Gypsy Snider) and Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical (Andrea Martin).
