YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN Runs 4/19-4/25 at Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center

The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center's production of Mel Brooks' hilarious musical YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN will play April 19 - May 25 with performances on Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. There is no show on Friday, May 9th but a special performance has been added on Thursday, May 15th at 8 pm. Tickets for YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN are $24 for Adults, $20 for Seniors & Students. It's ALIVE!!! A hilarious, high energy Broadway musical based on the Oscar-nominated smash hit 1974 film; YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is the wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Mary Shelley classic from the comic genius of Mel Brooks. The show's raucous score includes "The Transylvania Mania," "He Vas My Boyfriend" and the unforgettable treatment of Irving Berlin's "Putting on the Ritz." A Tony award-winner in 2008, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is just what the doctor ordered!

SVCAC's production of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is directed by Fred Helsel and Stephen Weston with musical direction by Gary Poirot and choreography by Becky Castells. David Ralphe and Fred Helsel are producing. Seth Kamenow is the production/scenic designer with Randon Pool as costume designer. Lighting design will be by Courtney Johnson and sound design will be by Chris Grote. Brenda Miller will serve as props mistress and the stage manager is Brenda Goldstein. Tori Cusack is assistant choreographer and Jan Carr is assistant costumer.

Heading the cast for YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is Toby Tropper as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein with Austin Miller as his sidekick Igor. Christine Tucker will play Inga, Dr. Frankenstein's bombshell of an assistant and Liz Stockton takes on the role of Frau Blucher. Playing Frederick's madcap fiancée Elizabeth will be Aliya Stuart and Nick Ferguson plays the dual roles of Inspector Kemp and The Hermit. Kevin Ellis fills the giant shoes as The Monster.

Rounding out the cast of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN will be Bobby Dantona as Ziggy, Greg Hardash as Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein, and Madison Bales, Lisa Barrad, Ariel Jean Brooker, Sara Marie Calvey, Sharon Gibson, Sarah Karpeles, Leah Millman, and Samantha Wulff in multiple roles.
