The SBCC Theatre Arts Department Opens A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, 11/14

The SBCC Theatre Arts Department will present A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM by Williams Shakespeare in the intimate Jurkowitz Theatre, directed by R. Michael Gros and featuring a cast of talented student and community actors.

So quick bright things come to confusion in the Athenian woods. Hilarious disaster ensues when a pair of young lovers flees Athens in pursuit of love and are moonstruck in the nearby mysticAl Woods. Add a misapplied love potion, mistaken identities, a lovers' quarrel among the king and queen of the fairy world, a troupe of insanely comic rustics in a play-within-a-play and we have the recipe for one of Shakespeare's most beloved comedies.

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM will run in the Jurkowitz Theatre on SBCC's West Campus, 900 block of Cliff Dr. Performances are November 14-18, November 28-December 1, Wednesday through Saturday @ 7:30pm, Sunday @ 2pm, Saturday 12/1 @ 2pm. The Sunday, November 18 performance will be live-captioned for the hearing-impaired. Ticket prices are $16 general/$13 seniors/$8 students and seating is general admission. Due to the intimate nature of the Jurkowitz Theatre, no late seating is permitted. Parking is free and near the theatre.
