The Santa Paula Theater Center will present David Lindsay-Abaire's hilarious and heartrending play, KIMBERLY AKIMBO,Feb. 10-Mar. 19 on its Main Stage at the Center, 125. So. 7th St. on the corner of Main St. and 7th in historic downtown Santa Paula. Tickets are $24.00 for adults, Seniors/Students $22.00, Children $18.00. KIMBERLY AKIMBO chronicles the life of teenager Kim who is afflicted with a rare condition that causes her body to age several times faster than normal. By age 16 Kimberly looks more like her grandmother than her peers. That, plus dealing with an unusual family, the prospect of her own mortality, and the possibility of first love brings her to the realization that despite these challenges, she is normal. KIMBERLY AKIMBO combines the heartbreak of the brevity of life with the teen angst of waiting for life to begin.

Cast members include Nancy Solomons as Kimberly, Trent Trachtenberg as Jeff, Julie Fergus as Pattie, Brian Robert Harris as Buddy, and Cynthia Killion as Debra.

David Lindsay-Abaire's KIMBERLY AKIMBO opens the 2017 Main Stage Centennial Season at SPTC celebrating the 100th birthday of its building. The remainder of the season is Outside Mullingar by John Patrick Shanley Apr. 21-May 28, The Birds (based on the Daphne DuMaurier short story) by Conor McPherson June 23-July 30, Becky's New Car by Steven Dietz Aug. 25-Oct. 1, and It's a Wonderful Life: On the Air adapted by Fred Helsel Nov. 17-Dec. 23.
