Cabrillo Music Theatre Partners with Local Boys and Girls Clubs

Cabrillo Music Theatre (CMT), the resident music theatre company of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, is proud to announce a community partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of The Greater Conejo Valley and the Boys & Girls Club of the West San Fernando Valley. CMT has been committed to improving access to the arts for over 22 years through their community outreach program Beyond the Footlights. The joint partnership will increase access to live, Broadway caliber productions for students who wish to experience the excitement and joy of live theatre.

"This is an excellent opportunity for kids to enjoy the theatre they otherwise couldn't afford. We're excited to be partnering with Cabrillo," says Jennifer Wissusik, Director of Operations for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Conejo Valley. Jan Sobel, President and CEO of the West Valley Boys & Girls Club, says, "We are delighted to have this new partnership with theCabrillo Music Theatre. The Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley's theatre arts program will truly be enhanced by the experience the kids will have to see live theatre."

Maureen Feldman, Director of Development & Community Engagement for Cabrillo says, "The community partnership between the Boys & Girls Clubs and Cabrillo Music Theatre will allow students interested in the arts access to live performances four times a year, free of charge." We're looking forward to working together to build an effective, collaborative community partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs for years to come."

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley are open before and after school, during lunch, and on weekends throughout the summer for the Camp Program, and all day during school vacations.
