Renowned breaker and choreographer Raphael Xavier brings his innovative performance, Skiff, to Hillsborough Community College on October 4th and 5th. Inspired by literary works such as Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea, Xavier interweaves original text and movement to explore the parallels between a fisherman's journey and his own in the dance world. The performance features guest artists Micah Spader, Husain Abdul-Zahir, and Tatiana Desardouin, showcasing a vibrant mix of talent. In addition to the performances, Xavier will lead a series of workshops, allowing community members to engage directly with his creative process.
