TampaRep's Laboratory Company's TAMPAWRIGHTS 3 Opens 7/9

TRT2, Tampa Repertory Theatre's laboratory company, presents TampaWrights 3, the third annual production of original one-act plays by Tampa-area playwrights. The production opens Thursday, July 9th and plays through July 26th, Thursdays to Sundays. Evening performances are at 8, with Sunday matinees at 3pm.

This year's production features plays by both new and veteran playwrights, including Jack Gilhooley, Landon Green, Jo Morello, Jaime O'Brien, Adam Seacord, and Selena Vela.

The plays range from Morello's time-warp comedy, "Talkback" to the psychological confrontation in Gilhooley's "The Session," to the outlandish absurdism of Seacord's "Golden Coin." The plays are performed by a talented company of five actors (Theory Cooper, Sigourney Forrester, Johnny Garde, Melissa Granke, and Molly Schoolmeester) under the direction of April Bender, Matthew Frankel, Megan Lamasney, and Matthew Ray. TampaWrights 3 plays in the renovated Silver Meteor Gallery located at 2213 E 6th Ave in Ybor City (note: due to local street construction in Ybor, check your route to the theatre).
