New Chihuly Collection in Downtown St. Petersburg Opens

The Chihuly Collection presented by The Morean Arts Center has opened its doors. There has been tons of press on this exhibit and it's simply amazing art work. It has been stated in advance and is very true that this collection is the Crown Jewel of St. Pete's already fine and numerous galleries and museums.

The CHIHULY COLLECTION presented by the Morean Arts Center is a stunning, Permanent Collection of world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly's unique artwork in a magnificent 10,000 square foot setting designed by award-winning architect Albert Alfonso. The Collection is located on the city's waterfront in downtown St. Petersburg on 400 Beach Drive.

This presentation is unique as it is the first installation of Chihuly art in a building designed specifically for that purpose. Designed so that the art and architecture work together to
create a visitor experience unlike any other exhibition of Chihuly's art.

The Collection is marked at the entrance by an iconic 20 foot sculpture created especially for the site.The Collection is open seven days a week for your convenience. Docent-led tours are available every half-hour on the quarter hour beginning at 10:15am.
