In the wake of Hurricane Irma, Creative Loafing (CL) is helping raise money for two local organizations going above and beyond to help local pets and wild animals: The Humane Society of Tampa Bay (HSTB) and the Suncoast Animal League (SAL).

Despite limited resources, both of these non-profit organizations work year-round to provide shelter and services for domestic and wild animals throughout the Tampa Bay area (and often beyond). An already packed workload and their own Irma-related issues means this is an especially critical and busy time for these non-profits, and we're asking you to do what you can to help.

Every cent raised through CL Furricane Relief GoFundMe campaign will be split evenly between HSTB and SAL. For more information on Furricane Relief, visit cltampa.com/furricane

Both organizations will be presented with a check at CL's annual Best of the Bay Awards Party at St. Pete's Mahaffey Theater on Wednesday, September 27th, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more information on Best of the Bay, visit cltampa.com/botbparty
