Songs of the Bulbul features acclaimed dancer-choreographer Aakash Odedra in a solo performance inspired by an ancient Sufi myth. The production explores the poignant story of the Persian nightingale, symbolizing a journey from sorrow to serenity in its final moments. With choreography by Rani Khanam and a rich score by Rushil Ranjan, the performance intertwines Indian Kathak dance with the spiritual essence of Sufi poetry. This captivating piece will be showcased at the Sydney Opera House's Playhouse from January 28 to January 31, 2026.
