The renowned Eight Cellists of The Metropolitan Orchestra return to the beautifully restored Leichhardt Town Hall for a unique performance on Sunday September 21st at 3:00pm. This intimate afternoon chamber concert will see these outstanding musicians deliver their refreshing take on a wide range of music from classic masterworks to some of the best-known pop songs, all re-orchestrated to accentuate the beautiful sounds of the cello. The program will include music by Schubert, Rachmaninov, Kate Moore, Lennon/McCartney, Freddie Mercury/Queen, Hans Zimmer and more.
