Beethoven’s famous ninth symphony is regarded as one of the grandest masterpieces of the early Romantic period. The fourth and final movement, a composition that sets Friedrich Schiller’s poem Ode to Joy to music, is Beethoven’s tribute to freedom and brotherhood. The Göteborg Opera Chorus and a number of exceptional soloists will perform in this movement.
In this performance, The Göteborg Opera Orchestra will get up onto the stage and reveal itself in all its glory and opulence of sound.
