Jultrad-i-ton at Göteborg Opera, Main Stage

In full winter attire, we invite you to attend Jultrad-i-ton, The Göteborg Opera's traditional and popular cavalcade of Christmas music and frolics. The Main Stage is transformed into Christmas Land, where Father Christmas, Mother Christmas and their children, the snow man, more than a hundred singing house-gnomes, musicians, singers, dancers and guest soloists all create magic and the warmest of Christmas atmospheres.

Jultrad-i-ton offers classic Christmas songs and orchestral pieces as well as more modern gems of song, and a wonderful pot-pourri of communal singing with which both adults and children can join in. Father Christmas' helpers patter around the foyer, offering Pepparkakor (Swedish spiced biscuits) and clementines before the time comes for the audience to slip into the auditorium.

For many years, Jultrad-i-ton has been a greatly appreciated element of the December preparations for the big day. You are welcome to listen, enjoy, laugh, be enchanted and sing along!
