Bachelor of Arts in Theatre
|
Foster your intellectual curiosity in the classroom and express and challenge yourself creatively on the stage. Throughout the year, you'll participate in fully-produced “mainstage” shows, student-initiated performances, class and senior showcase performances, video/film productions, and performances for chapel. In addition to classes and productions, there are educational opportunities sponsored by the department. These have included guest speakers and guest artists, professional theatre artists holding master classes, lectures and demonstrations, and alumni who are working professionally and return to share their experiences. Our Center for Arts and Performance features the Raabe Theatre, which serves as the “mainstage” of our production programs and the Blackbox Studio Theatre, which is the principal location for performance classes, while also serving as an alternative production venue.
Support areas include our scene shop, costume shop, prop and costume storage, and furniture storage. The mezzanine level is home to the Raabe and Blackbox studio control booths, theatre design lab, faculty offices, and the theatre resource room, which contains our script and periodical library.
Acceptance Rate:
Wisconsin Lutheran College has a general acceptance rate of 79%, but there isn't specific data available for the theatre department's acceptance rate.
