The UA Little Rock Department of Theatre Arts and Dance provides a safe and rigorous environment in which to take risks, broaden imagination, and discover one’s voice. Our curriculum links the best practices of the classroom to the laboratory of production, engaging with ideas through theory and application. Grounded in knowledge and skills, critically aware of the present, and creatively inspired, Theatre and Dance students are challenged to make meaningful contributions to their world.

Highlights of the upcoming season include a five-concert cycle of orchestra performances, a three-concert chamber series at the New York City Library for the Performing Arts, and a residency at Arkansas universities. Celebrated guest artists, including violinist Tessa Lark, pianist Rachel Kudo, bassoonist William Short, clarinetist Inn-Hyuck Cho, pianist HaeSun Paik, violinist Ken Hamao, and organist Joshua Stafford join the acclaimed players of NYCP for a season of extraordinary music-making.
