About the program

When you join the Department of Music, you become a member of an organization with a long tradition of musical excellence. Fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music since 1957, the department is a team of devoted artists and teachers fulfilling our mission of producing highly qualified musicians and educators. With nearly 100 majors, the department is large enough to provide great opportunities for ensemble participation, including membership in the Showband of Arkansas®, yet small enough to offer the individual attention you will need to succeed.
