Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota's 2026 Suncoast Music Scholarship Competition is now open for applications. The competition awards up to $20,000 in music scholarships to ninth through twelfth grade students.

UNCSA Community Music School has announced the launch of its Junior Appalachian Music Program, with classes starting on February 17, 2026. The program aims to provide music education focused on Appalachian traditions.

The Music Institute of Chicago Academy will present a series of free concerts showcasing its pre-college conservatory students. Performances will include chamber music programs, orchestral concerts, and a special event marking the Academy’s 20th anniversary. All concerts will take place at Nichols Concert Hall in Evanston.

Sierra Madre Playhouse will launch its new season with a music program featuring accordionist Cory Pesaturo and violinist and vocalist Leah Zeger. The event opens the Playhouse’s season of live music programming.

Camerata Pacifica will present a series of chamber concerts featuring works for viola and piano by Beethoven, Schubert, and Schumann. The program includes performances by Che-Yen Chen and Gilles Vonsattel and continues the ensemble’s Beethoven 32 project.

The Treble Choir of Houston has been selected to perform at the 2026 Southwestern American Choral Directors Association Convention in Albuquerque. The organization is seeking community support to help all participating students attend.

The UConn School of Fine Arts Department of Music will present two performances this week as part of the UConn Music Inspire Series. On Thursday, Oct. 9, Ensemble Origo returns with Saravanda! Dances of New Spain, followed by a solo piano concert by Eric Reed on Friday, Oct. 10, at von der Mehden Recital Hall. Both performances begin at 8 p.m. and tickets are $15.
