Six young St. Louis actors — Kate Kappel, Grace Moore, Will Schulte, Leia Rhiannon Yogi, Zoe Klevorn and Torri Tripoli — will fill starring roles in Muny productions this upcoming season.

I know what you're thinking now, that all we sing is stuff about God and Jesus. While that is definitely in there, it's not all we do. We just had our fall concert on October 1st, which was just over a week ago now, and most of our lit centered around the bicentennial of the state of Missouri, as the state was established in 1821.

Stomping Ground Theatre Co., based in New York, will be making its St. Louis stage debut with a new musical revue with music and lyrics by Brett Kristofferson, entitled THIS VERY MOMEMT! The show will be presented August 2nd and 3rd at 8:00pm at Fontbonne University Fine Arts Theatre, 6800 Wydown Boulevard.

There's that initial low, stealthy tip-toeing pizzicato, like a Warner Brothers cat creeping up on a clever mouse. Then an oboe slips in, and other woodwinds, some piccolo. Then (SURPRISE!) a racing, romping foretaste of the musical fun to follow. It's the utterly delicious overture to Giochino Rossini's L'italiana in Algeri-The Italian Girl in Algiers. It's another bright success in Winter Opera's long list of delights.

The Muny announced today its full cast, design and production teams for the theatre's centennial season production of Annie, July 18 -25.
