Theatre majors develop performance, production and devising skills, including acting, directing, design and creating original works. Students receive a well-rounded working knowledge of the History of Theatre, Contemporary drama and new creation methods. Students marry classroom exercises with experiential learning by working on productions in a variety of areas, including acting, ensemble performance, stage management, stage, lighting and prop design and directing. Students work collaboratively and have significant responsibility in constructing each production, ranging from classical to contemporary to experimental productions.
