Babes With Blades Theatre Company's (BWBTC) 2023 season opens with an extended run of its new works festival, collectively called Fighting Words, June 17– 25 at The Edge Off Broadway, 1133 W. Catalpa.  All performances are free to the public and audiences can provide feedback on the scripts following each reading.

Yale Repertory Theatre has announced the commissioning of new work by Guadalís Del Carmen (Bees and Honey), Dave Harris (Tambo & Bones), Rachel Lynett [Apologies to Lorraine Hansberry (You Too August Wilson)], and Sanaz Toossi (English).

Raven Theatre will conclude its 40th Anniversary Season with the Chicago premiere of The October Storm, by Joshua Allen, a follow up to Allen’s smash-hit The Last Pair of Earlies.

“Mill Street Live” is a song and dance musical revue and is regarded as one of the most entertaining summer shows in the area. With music from the past six decades, there is something for everyone in the audience to enjoy.

The inaugural season of Wayward Voices continues with a workshop presentation of “Black Mexican” by Rachel Lynett. New York-based artist Gineiris Garcia is partnering  with Lynett and taking the reins as the workshop's director.
