Segerstrom Center for the Arts will present Alonzo King LINES Ballet in ARTWorks, an evening featuring captivating moments from its diverse repertoire, highlighting the breadth and depth of choreographer Alonzo King's vision. 

Alonzo King LINES Ballet will return to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts with Deep River by company co-founder, artistic director, and visionary choreographer Alonzo King, on Friday, June 9, and Saturday, June 10, 2023, 7:30 pm, in The Wallis’ Bram Goldsmith Theater.

The Board of the Museum of Performance + Design takes great pleasure in announcing that Alonzo King will be presented with the 2022 San Francisco Arts Medallion for his outstanding leadership in the arts on November 15, 2022, at Saint Joseph's Arts Society in San Francisco with American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer Misty Copeland serving as Honorary Chair.

Alonzo King LINES Ballet, the internationally celebrated contemporary ballet company, has announced the program for its 40th Fall Season, October 12-16, 2022. This Fall LINES Ballet will celebrate Alonzo King’s 25-year collaboration with tabla virtuoso Zakir Hussain.

Alonzo King LINES Ballet has announced that Founder and Artistic Director Alonzo King is the recipient of the 2020 Dance Magazine Award. King will be honored at a virtual award ceremony on December 7, 2020. 

Alonzo King LINES Ballet is pleased to announce that choreographer Alonzo King will receive an honorary doctorate from Juilliard during the school's 114th commencement ceremony, which takes place Friday, May 24, 2019, at 11am in Alice Tully Hall in New York City and will be live-streamed at juilliard.edu/live. Actress Rita Moreno and composer Kaija Saariaho will receive honorary doctorates as well.

Alonzo King LINES Ballet and Grace Cathedral are pleased to announce that internationally celebrated choreographer Alonzo King will be the Artist in Residence at Grace Cathedral in 2019.   

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents Red Hen Press: An Afternoon of Poetry and Performance at The East Wing at The Broad Stage on Sunday, December 16 at 2:00pm. The spiritual depth of Morten Lauridsen's music, paired with the stunning voices of Rod Gilfry and Carin Gilfry, in conversation with the lyric poetry of Amber Flora Thomas and the works of California State Poet Laureate Dana Gioia, will make for a thrilling venture into the radiant beauty of soul language.

Marin Shakespeare Company, Marin County's only professional Shakespeare theatre, announces its 2018 outdoor summer season - a season exploring complex and compelling men and women. Presented under the summer stars, Marin Shakespeare's 29th season includes "Hamlet," "Shakespeare's Will," a spirited and sensual imagining of the life of Anne Hathaway by Canadian playwright Vern Thiessen, and "Pericles." The 2018 season is in partial repertory, with performances beginning in May and ending early August. There will be some Thursday evening performances this year. The theatre plans to make major renovations to the Forest Meadows Amphitheatre following the 2018 summer season.
