About the program
The Dance Program offers an exciting community for students in the study of dance as well as the sheer enjoyment of movement. A plethora of styles is presented including: Contemporary, Modern, African, Jazz, Improvisation, Choreography, Ballet, Folk, Roots of Hip Hop, History, Afro-American, Afro-Haitian, Workshops in Latino, Belly Dance, and requested cultures. Private and Independent Studies are offered. The opportunity to perform in shows, festivals, and conferences is very likely. The Dance Club provides all students the opportunity to explore the World of Dance and to present programs of interest. Dedicated staff of accomplished teachers permeate the program. The minor in Dance is available to students in all baccalaureate programs. In conjunction with a major in Psychology, this minor prepares students for graduate work in dance therapy.
