Bluffton's music department is unique from other liberal arts schools in that: - Our music education program is highly respected, with strong connections to area public school music programs. - 96 percent of Bluffton music graduates in the past 10 years are employed in music. - We offer opportunities for performance to all Bluffton students, beginning in a their first year, in both vocal and instrumental ensembles. - Yoder Recital Hall - We offer exceptional guest Artist Series performances. - We have an active Ohio Collegiate Music Education Chapter. - Private lessons in voice, keyboard, wind, percussion and stringed instruments are available for credit and are open to all students.

Puerto Rican writer, translator, educator and curator Paloma Sierra has been commissioned to pen the second segment of Hero Theatre and Hero Multimedia's Nuestro Planeta, a ten-year multimedia new works initiative that focuses on educating Latinx film and theater audiences about environmental justice within the Americas.
