Chesterfield Amphitheatre is a theatre in Chesterfield.
In Clue, secret agendas, grizzly murders, secret identities, and things that go bump in the night come together with side-splitting wackiness for an enthrallingly goofy spoof of the mystery genre. Presented without intermission, it boasts a superb cast and loads of humor. The result is a fast-paced …
Come From Away is bursting with compelling stories of post-9/11 experiences. Each story told by this gifted ensemble layers on powerful, emotionally resonant accounts of that week in Gander. But at its core, Come From Away is a love letter to the lovely and generous residents of Gander who put their…
Lauren Yee’s Hookman has a lot it wants to say about perpetrator induced-traumatic stress, but the message of accountability is lost in a painfully banal and utterly vacuous script.…
The Last Show on Earth is an off-kilter comedy that is as quirky as it is entertaining. Joe Taylor has penned and scored an inventive original play that he confidently placed in the innovative hands of Lucy Cashion and her boundary pushing creative teams at ERA. If your up for wildly imaginative the…
An excellent production of a strong play by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins…
A profound and hilarious scattershot examination of AI and the end of the universe. Invigorating! Rejuvenating! Don't miss it!…

Flynn’s Stay A While is an energetic treat. His irresistibly funny performance filled with exuberant effervescence. Stay A While’s ephemeral joy feels like a child’s giddy anticipation for their birthday party. The poignant bittersweet, post-party wistful comedown shows what an insightful, …
The Mercy Seat is a voyeuristic look at less-than-stellar people who contemplate taking advantage of a dire situation for their own selfish motives. Director John Pierson tells a compelling but uncomfortable story of self-centered opportunism. Actors Franklin Killian and Kelly Schneider inhabit flaw…
The Color Purple is a mid-tier movies-to-musical adaptation that falls just short of becoming a classic. Brenda Russell, Allee Willis, and Stephen Bray’s score is competent but uneven. However, Marsha Norman’s book and her message of resilience, self-actualization, liberation, and reclamation re…
