Upstream Theater blows the dust off The Glass Menagerie. “Being a ‘memory play,’ The Glass Menagerie can be presented with unusual freedom of convention.” – Tennessee Williams. As Williams’ classic has entered our collective memory, it has moved from cutting-edge to canonical. Their production aims to take the piece out of the museum in a way that’s guaranteed to move you, and move you to think. Cast: Linda Kennedy as Amanda, J. Samuel Davis as Tom, Sydney Frasure as Laura and Jason Contini as Jim. Live music by pianist Joe Dreyer. Directed by Philip Boehm.
