Broadway performer Katy Geraghty, fresh off her run as Tracy Turnblad in The Muny’s production of Hairspray brings an evening of the music that made her. From Paramore to Sondheim, Barbara Streisand to Billie Eilish. Special performances by Matthew Ranaudo and stand up comedian Amy Geraghty. Music Direction by Carter Haney.
Broadway: Into the Woods (Little Red, Broadway replacement and national tour), Groundhog Day (original Broadway cast). Favorite theatre credits: Oklahoma! (Gertie Cummings, Carnegie Hall), & Juliet (pre-Broadway Toronto run), Bliss (world premiere at 5th Avenue Theatre), Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad, Oregon Shakespeare Festival and The Muny) and Shrek The Musical (Gingy, North Shore Music Theatre). Love and thanks to Innovative Artists and Viking Entertainment.
The Muny has released a video of their production of Hairspray, starring Richard Kind as 'Edna Turnblad' and Katy Geraghty as 'Tracy.' The footage features Geraghty, seen on Broadway in Into the Woods, singing 'You Can't Stop the Beat.'
The Muny posted a designer run video from its upcoming production of HAIRSPRAY, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the cast and creative team in rehearsal ahead of the season opener.
Katy Geraghty, playing Tracy Turnblad in The Muny's HAIRSPRAY, performs a selection from 'Good Morning Baltimore' alongside Music Director/Conductor Evan Roider in a rehearsal studio preview.
When Hairspray opens the Muny’s 108th season, Katy Geraghty will don Tracy Turnblad’s bow adorned bouffant wig for the 5th time in her acting career. The scene stealing Geraghty turned in memorably hilarious performances at The Muny as Mary Patrick in Sister Act and as Bridget in Bring it On over the past two seasons.
The Muny announced the principal cast for HAIRSPRAY, opening its 108th season at Forest Park. Katy Geraghty and Richard Kind lead the production, which marks the show's return to the St. Louis stage for the first time since 2015.
