The Community Music School of Webster University and The Sheldon are teaming up to present a lively one-hour education program for schools entitled "St. Louis Classical All-Stars," Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the perfect acoustics of the Sheldon Concert Hall. Six top student musicians will perform short works designed to introduce classical music to their peers in an attractive format, to inspire study of a musical instrument or voice and participation in school music programs, and to plant seeds for future listening to and exploration of the classical music genre.

Students performing on March 11 include McKayla Talasek, violin; Caroline Camp, voice; Brett Hodge, French horn; Eric Pasewark, clarinet; James Perretta, cello; and Dominic Cheli, piano.

Carol Commerford, Director of the Community Music School of Webster University, says, "I'm delighted to showcase these excellent students from our school - they are simply amazing talents!" Paul Reuter, Executive Director of The Sheldon, adds, "Our goal is to show to young people the exciting range of classical music and what it can mean in their lives."

Student tickets are $3.50 and are available by contacting The Sheldon at 314-533-9900. Adult tickets are $5 and are available at the door starting at 9:30 a.m. on March 11.
