The co-founders and artistic directors of Muddy Waters Theatre, Cameron & Patty Ulrich, team up to present Paula Vogel's The Mineola Twins with the former directing the latter who is featured as those daunting and dauntless twins, Myrna & Myra. The three-week run opens June 10 and continues Fridays & Saturdays (8pm) and Sundays (2pm) through June 26 at the Kranzberg Arts Center in Grand Center. Joining the Ulrichs are some new faces in St. Louis professional theatre who will be creating the multiple other faces who jump in and out of the action -- Andrew Kuhlman & Jamie Marble each in dual roles and Satia Hutton & Carrie Dougherty as the very busy Chorus.

Just as a quick refresher, the play is Vogel's funny and satiric take on American women over the space of 4 decades with specific stops in the Eisenhower, Nixon and Bush #1's administrations along the way. Everything we see is through the crazed eyes of identical -- almost -- twins, Myrna the "good" and chestally developed one, and Myra the "evil" and prairie-chested one. Said by Vogel to represent the extremes of American politics, the twins' loathing relationship is far more complicated than the play's politics and far funnier.
