Visitors to Seoul can take in a new production of the classic musical Evita at the end of the year.

Running from December 9th 2011 until January 29th 2012 at the LG Arts Center, this new staging of Andrew Lloyd Webber's internationally acclaimed show will feature a local cast and suitably lavish production values.

The show has proven to be one of Lord Lloyd Webber's most popular works, telling the story of the life, loves, rise and demise of Eva Peron, the iconic former first lady of Argentina.

It has become a worldwide sensation thanks to unforgettable tracks such as Don't Cry for Me Argentina, while it also spawned a successful film adaptation in 1996 starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas.

The Seoul production will feature famous Korean actors such as Jung Sun-ah, Park Sang-won and Park Sang-jin, as well as a rousing live orchestra accompaniment and tango-inspired choreography.

Evita runs for 150 minutes and is open to anyone over the age of seven.

Tickets can be purchased from 30,000 won (£16.80) each, with the most expensive VIP seats costing 130,000 won.

Lovers of musical theatre can choose from a varied selection of Seoul hotels at AsiaRooms.com, such as the IP Boutique Hotel Itaewon.

Tickets for the show can be booked at ticket.interpark.com.
