This classic coming-of-age story takes you to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1967, where Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade, and their family of Greaser “outsiders” dream about who they want to become in a world that will never accept them.

February 04, 2026 The second most recent winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical is now the most recent one to tour at the Peace Center. The Outsiders, based on the English class classic by S.E. Hinton—and its attending ‘80s movie adaptation by Francis Ford Coppola—has been brought to engaging theatrical life by Adam Rapp, Justin Levine, and folk duo Jamestown Revival.

July 25, 2025 Casting and cities has been announces for the North American tour of The Outsiders, the Tony Award® winning Best Musical. The tour will tech and launch at Shea’s Buffalo Theatre in Buffalo, NY, before its official opening in Tulsa, OK, on Wednesday, October 8 at Tulsa Performing Arts Center.
