Monuments is an outdoor projection-based installation at the Charleston Gaillard Center featuring the work of internationally acclaimed artist Craig Walsh. From February 27 to March 31, 2026, the installation will honor three local individuals: Diane Hamilton, an educator and community advocate; Leroy Moore, a case manager dedicated to supporting vulnerable populations; and Jeffrey Yungman, a public defender focused on legal advocacy for the unhoused. This project challenges traditional ideas of commemoration by creating temporary monuments that highlight the contributions of living community members, underscoring the importance of service and advocacy in Charleston.
