Book & Lyrics by Eric Idle Music by John Du Prez & Eric Idle

A new musical lovingly ripped off from the motion picture “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” From the original screenplay by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin Original Broadway Production produced by Boyett Ostar Productions, The Shubert Organization, Arielle Tepper Madover, Stephanie McClelland/ Lawrence Horowitz, Elan V McAllister/Allan S. Gordon, Independent Presenters Network, Roy Furman, GRS Associates, Jam Theatricals, TGA Entertainment, and Clear Channel Entertainment

Join King Arthur and his sidekick Patsy as they recruit a few good men to form the Knights of the very, very, very Round Table. Upon gathering an incomparable assortment of knights, the group sets off in search of the Holy Grail. Along the way, Arthur and his band find themselves living large in Camelot, enjoying a visit from God, being terrorized by the French, and getting lost in a dark—yet very expensive—forest. And if that wasn’t enough, the knights are heckled by a minstrel band, attacked by a killer rabbit, dueling with the Black Knight, and ultimately tested to put on a Broadway musical.

Leading the merry men as King Arthur is Nathan Dawson (White Christmas), with Town newcomer Marc Kenison as his loyal Patsy. Town’s merry band of knights includes the dashingly handsome Sir Galahad, played by Von Huber (Beautiful); the homicidally brave Sir Lancelot, portrayed by Will Dowd (Beauty and the Beast); the not-quite-so-brave Sir Robin, played by Jack Bingham (Something’s Afoot); and the mysteriously flatulent Sir Bedevere, brought to life by Corey Langley (Baskerville). Floating in and out as the Lady of the Lake is Sara Slaughter (She Loves Me). Historian Wayne Wright (Something’s Afoot) ensures we get the story straight, with Richard Fisher (She Loves Me), David LaTorre (The Wizard of Oz), Nathan Jones and Lonnie Owen (both making their Town debuts), Chris Matney (Something Rotten), and Jack Seezen (Les Mis: Student Edition) portraying a bevy of characters throughout the tale. Our robust ensemble includes Toby Shaw (frequent Town crew and sound personnel), Kelsey McGarrigan and Tracey Lease (both from Something’s Afoot), Jennifer Kraus (Beautiful), Ivy Munnerlyn (The Sound of Music), and Town newcomers Hannah Williamson, Peyton Rabon and Sara Monts.

Spamalot is under the direction of Jerry Crouch with music direction by Davis Herndon and choreography by Roxanne Rich. Set design is by Bob Bramhall with technical direction by Jeremy Hansard. Costumes are provided by Heather Gonzalez with lights by Isaiah Gray and stage management by Annika Phillips. Props are handled by Gina Janvrin and David LaTorre. Maggie Baker serves as the dance captain.

With killer rabbits, flying cows, flatulent Frenchmen and show-stopping musical numbers, Spamalot is a laugh-out-loud adventure. Join us for this gleefully absurd romp ~ full of heart, hilarity and ham. Bring your coconuts and prepare to laugh ‘til it hurts! Don’t miss out on this hilarious show which pokes fun at everyone ~ you included! Rated PG-13.

The show runs May 16 to June 1 with 7:30 PM curtain on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays and 3 PM curtain on Sundays. Tickets are available at towntheatre.com. Spamalot is sponsored by Hood Construction and Synovus.
