By: Gabrielle Sierra
Winthrop University and AnMed Health are looking for volunteers to act as patients/families facing end-of-life issues. This unique experience is part of a training program for health care professionals. The roles still remaining are:
Alex, a 28 year old diagnosed with leukemia currently receiving inpatient chemotherapy (need 1) Jordan, Alex's parent (need 1).Susan, a 45 year old woman diagnosed with ovarian cancer and currently receiving outpatient chemotherapy (need 2) John, Susan's husband (need 2).These roles have NO SCRIPT, only information as to what is going on in the situation and how the characters feel and think. Don't worry if your age doesn't fit with the characters, they can make it work. The event takes place Sunday, January 10th from 1:00 - 5:00pm at the Watkins Teaching Center on the Anderson University Campus and a $25 compensation will be provided. If you are interested, please contact Amanda Werts at wertsa@winthrop.edu or 803-323-4974.
