SSTI Presents ANYTHING GOES, Opening this Friday

SSTI's tenth anniversary season sets sail with the Cole Porter classic hit musical, "Anything Goes." The Tony Award-winning musical comedy features a classic love story told by a cast of eclectic passengers sailing aboard the luxurious S.S. American.

SSTI's "Anything Goes" opens at the Seahawk Cultural Center on the campus of Hilton Head High School on June 23 at 7:30 p.m. Broadway Director and Choreographer, Tony Spinosa, known for his work on the Tony Award winning Broadway revival of "La Cage Aux Folles" is making his SSTI debut with "Anything Goes."

"Anything Goes" features a score filled with Porter's most beloved standards. Audiences can expect to leave humming songs like "It's De-Lovely," "I Get a Kick Out of You," and the unforgettable title song, "Anything Goes." This show is certain to be entertaining for the whole family.

With a staff of theatre professionals assembled from across the country, SSTI is dedicated to technical and performance excellence, even utilizing the Broadway National Touring set for this production. SSTI's "Anything Goes" also features performers and technicians carefully selected for their talent and skill from 25 states and 4 countries.

"In recent summer's at SSTI we have had the distinct pleasure of producing many regional premieres and newer works of musical theater, so I could not be more excited to have the opportunity to present this classic piece of American musical theater history," said Ben Wolfe, SSTI founder and program director. "With our incredible cast, the Broadway scenic design and the unforgettable songs of Cole Porter, I can confidently say that this is a show not to be missed."

"Anything Goes" runs June 23-25, June 30, July 1-2. Showtimes on Fridays and Saturdays are 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. at the Seahawk Cultural Center on Hilton Head Island, SC.
